ARTIST STATEMENT

I consider myself an artist, educator, and an entrepreneur that focuses on black representation in art and the importance of mental health. I graduated from the University of California – Irvine with a degree in Psychology & Social Behavior with an emphasis on child development. 

I implement my educational background to teach children about mental health through practices like art therapy. I’m passionate about creating art that celebrates beauty, strength, and resilience. I’m inspired by the powerful women and the diverse stories of the women she meets. 

I’m motivated to capture their unique stories, looks, and experiences on canvas and through her art. She aspires for women of color to feel appreciated and portrayed while observing her work.
