DESCRIPTION:Dee Conway “The Continuum” Exhibition \nExhibition Dates June 1\, 2016-June 30\, 2016 \nArtist Reception: June 12th 1-4:00pm \nGallery 1855 offers a special exhibition from artist Dee Conway. A graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography. This special exhibition draws from her many influences of nature\, art\, and the work of her late mentor Johanna Gillman. \n“Many of the photographs in this exhibit are a combination of Johanna Gillman’s artwork with either my paintings\, my photography\, or still lifes that I have created with her imagery. In some cases I have changed the color/tone/position of her work to create something new. \nJohanna was a fabulous New York artist who spent the last 3 years of her life in California. She now lives in this beautiful cemetery. \nIn this way\, I can somewhat continue our art relationship.
