SUMMARY:April Camlin Closing Exhibition Event
DESCRIPTION:Learning New Powers is the first west-coast solo exhibition for artist and current UC Davis MFA candidate April Camlin\, currently on view at Gallery 1855 in the Davis Cemetery and Arboretum. For the closing of this exhibition\, on October 28 the work will be re-installed throughout the grounds of the cemetery as part of a larger installation. Visitors will be guided through a walking meditation through the cemetery that will culminate in the opportunity to receive healing song from members of the Davis Threshold Singers\, who will be arranged in singing circles throughout the cemetery grounds. A public ancestor altar will be present as part of the cemetery’s observation of Dia de Los Muertos.\n\n\nThe event will take place Saturday\, October 28th from 4-6 pm.\n\n\n
