We Are Hiring! Full time Administrative Assistant



Under direct supervision of the superintendent/office manager/community outreach director the administrative assistant will be responsible for interaction with the public as well as maintaining financial and internment records of the District. This is a full time position with benefits (medical/dental).

Duties and Responsibilities:

In accordance with all policies and procedures of the Davis Cemetery District, the administrative assistant shall:

  • Assist with sale of plots and interment arrangements
  • Assist with maintaining and updating interment records
  • Maintain/update/organize district documents/records as directed
  • Process deposits
  • Process claims (payables)
  • Process and maintain payroll records and employee records
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Assist in analysis and reporting of interment data
  • Assist in the preparation of agendas and minutes for board meetings
  • Respond to all calls and/or telephone messages in a timely manner
  • Respond to all written and electronic communications in a timely manner
  • Cooperate and communicate with cemetery staff
  • Maintain clean, inviting office area
  • Projects/additional duties as directed by administrative staff

Skills Required

  • Excellent communication and public relations
  • Friendly and empathetic demeanor
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Intermediate knowledge of bookkeeping, strong math skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Keyboarding at 40WPM, minimum
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
